Kristen Gwinn-Becker, PhD
Founder & CEO
Kristen Gwinn-Becker is a professional historian, digital strategist and established thought leader in the field of digital preservation. She holds a PhD in U.S. History from George Washington University and has worked for over 15 years in software development. Kristen is a published author, accomplished scholar and experienced public speaker, including her TEDx talk on the Future of History.
Donny Lowe
Chief Technology Officer
After serving 5-plus years as the Director of Digital Strategy at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Donny joined the HistoryIT team. In addition to overseeing the museum’s digital preservation efforts, Lowe managed all Hall of Fame branded online portals. Before that, he spent 10 years in television production for Nexstar Media Group and Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Dana Barron, PhD
Vice President of Services
Dana Barron is a professional historian and musicologist. She holds a PhD in Musicology from Indiana University, with a specialization in Renaissance-era music manuscripts, and has archival experience in the United States and Europe. Dana has over 9 years of experience in metadata creation, digital archive strategy and client support. She is an accomplished scholar and public speaker.
Martha Tye
Vice President of Marketing
With an academic background in history and 6+ years in marketing at the Atlanta History Center, Martha is passionate about helping organizations save and share their history. At HistoryIT she helps nonprofits, associations, businesses, teams and more connect with the services, products and resources that best suit their needs. She also leads communications and storytelling consultations for our clients.
Daniel Orr
Digital Imaging & Asset Manager
Daniel has over 10 years of dedicated experience as a photographic professional. He is passionate about using modern photographic technology to bridge the gap between our past and present to preserve it for future generations. Prior to joining HistoryIT, he worked on several world-class projects in New York City’s media industry. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Colorado and studied art history at the Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy.
